InDesign Tip #101: Shuffling Pages
I recently figured out how to get rid of the cover page in 'facing pages' mode, say when you want just a 4 panel brochure (1 fold). For that size of a brochure, you would create 5 new pages. You'll have the cover page, and four additional pages set up as spreads. Then, in the Pages Palette, click the small menu arrow in the upper right corner and select "Allow Pages to Shuffle" and make sure it is NOT checked. Now delete the cover page (pg 1) and you have just your 2 spreads.

Cool, that always bugged me. Now if I could only do four pages across so I didn't have to have a palette window so dang tall ...
And while we're wishing, how about the ability to put four pages (or N) across in PDF documents so we can view those giant charts that come out of the DB creation tools (and span multiple pages).
