Working on a Sunday
It has come to the attention of my colleagues that InDesign 2.0's PreFlight function does not check resolution of images. I did some searching and found that in the CS version, there is an info palette that will show resolution (correct me if i'm wrong). Despite the fact that we won't be getting CS any time soon, it seems silly that Adobe chose to leave that one important detail out. I was thinking we were going to have to get the OSX version of FlightCheck Collect for such things as Illustrator files (e.g., business card templates where you need to leave the type un-outlined), however, I discovered while working this weekend that PreFlight will grab fonts from placed Illustrator files, thus eliminating the need for FlightCheck. However, it is still needed for the resolution issue on large, multi-page documents where one would not want to go open all the images up one by one...
